The Ministry of Health publishes the plan of measures for areas affected by

The Ministry of Health has published the plan of measures being taken by health institutions regarding the flood situation in several areas of the country.

The plan of measures will be extended to areas with the heaviest rainfall such as Kurbin, Mat, Lezhë, Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe, Tropojë, Kukës and Has.

The Ministry calls on citizens to follow official announcements as the OSKSH will be on standby 24 hours a day.

The measures foresee equipping regional hospitals with medications, medical supplies, drinking water, fuel and generators, full activation of emergency services, and continuous monitoring.

 

"Since last evening, intense rainfall has affected several areas of the country. The structures under the Health Care Services Operator are on full alert 24/7 and are monitoring the situation in real time.

Measures taken in health institutions:

Continuous monitoring of the situation by regional healthcare operators & local units

Verification of infrastructure, equipment and drug reserves. Close coordination with local government and civil emergency structures.

Full activation of hospital emergency services.

Regional and municipal hospitals report that critical supplies (medicines, medical supplies, drinking water, fuel for generators) are secured and ready for use.

Areas with the heaviest rainfall:

Kurbin, Mat, Lezhë, Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe, Tropojë, Kukës and Has are currently without problems in the provision of health services and with normal functioning of the structures.

 OSKSH remains in constant communication for any emergency and situation that requires immediate intervention.
