Tourism/ Rama: Albania continues at a high pace, publishes the figures for the
Prime Minister Edi Rama

Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama has published the international classifications for the month of March regarding the increase in the number of air passengers compared to 2019 before the pandemic.

Albania continues to maintain the highest rates with 233.3%, which according to the prime minister marks a continuous success for the country.

While Albanians contribute to filling the planes, the figures of the increase in the number of foreign tourists visiting Albania are showing a positive trend in the tourism sector.

The increase in renting apartments to foreigners and the increase in requests for hotels are some of the indicators that confirm this positive development, added Prime Minister Edi Rama.

According to the prime minister, the benefits from tourists go beyond personal pleasure and affect the growth of the country's economic activity.

This increase in economic activity is closely related to the increase in income for the state, which has been invested in increasing wages and investments.

"FROM THE ABOVE STILL HIGHER

Here is also the March international classification for the increase in the number of passengers by air compared to the numbers of 2019 (before the pandemic), where Albania's growth continues at the highest rates.

And first, those who say that it is the Albanians who fill the planes, not the tourists, should not forget that even if this is the case, this is fantastic news, because it means that they have much more desire to come to Albania, meanwhile ticket prices are also significantly reduced thanks to the addition of airlines. But it is not exactly like that, because the numbers of foreigners coming to Albania speak for themselves, as does the astonishing increase in renting apartments for foreigners or requests for hotels.

Second, those who say that we don't need tourists because they come for fun, we want this and that, should not forget that tourists' fun costs money and the profits from their spending for fun are taken by Albanians who work, produce, sell , serve and so on, while the part of the income for the state from the increase in economic activity is invested to increase salaries and investments.

Lastly, this is Albania's achievement and all these people who come and join us give a positive echo to our country, when they return to their countries, so whoever doesn't like the government can insult it as much as they want, but there is no reason not to rejoices for Albania when the truth speaks so clearly as in this case", writes Rama./ CNA
