Tabaku: Incinerators 430 million euros a failure, the government returns to
Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has reacted after the government's conference on waste management, describing it as another political show with lectures and graphics, while the real problems remain unresolved.

According to her, Rama speaks, ministers present "power points", while municipalities remain spectators without a say. Tabaku accuses the government of avoiding any word on the incinerator contracts, where over 430 million euros have been paid from citizens' taxes, even though none of them are functioning.

She emphasized that the solution proposed by the government, landfills, is in fact the alternative that the Democratic Party had foreseen 12 years ago with studies, funds and official documents, later supported by the EU in a progress report, by the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution in an audit and by the Incinerator Investigative Commission.

Tabaku's Facebook post:

Another conference where "one" speaks, "two" presents a power point, while the municipalities that have the keys to the straw mark without the right to speak.
Not a word about the 430 million € incinerator contracts.
Not a word about 12 years of fraud that supposedly Albania was cleaned.
Only lectures in suits and collars!
The solution proposed in the Power Point?
Landfill!
And the landfill was the solution that the DP had given 12 years ago, with studies and official documents and a budget. This was proposed again in the opposition. Even the EU in the 4 progress report when criticizing the incinerators, and the KLSH when it did the audit, and even the INcenerators Investigation Commission emphasized it as a fair alternative.
But the government chose the incinerators, defended them publicly, politically and today continues to pay for them from Albanian taxes.
The more beautiful the power point, the dirtier Albania becomes!, writes Tabaku. /CNA
