Waste treatment and recycling/ Rama: Municipalities should increase performance

Prime Minister Edi Rama, at an event for the Integrated Waste Treatment Reform, announced that the National Waste Treatment Operator will be created.

In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized that without waste treatment and recycling, Albania cannot fulfill its obligation to itself and to the EU.

Rama underlined that these are stages that will impact the improvement of the quality of life and the environment in the territory of our country.

The head of government said that it is very important to increase the level of motivation and the level of performance in all links, in all municipalities, of course, that is where the base is and at all levels that extend from local government levels to the smallest ones.

"It takes great dedication and an extremely complex organization to include everyone in this process, but without these, this process cannot go beyond and Albania cannot fulfill its obligation to itself in the first place because all of these are stages that are determined on the paths to membership, but they are a direct benefit to the people of this country. These are stages that will affect the improvement of the quality of life and the environment in the territory of our country and the settlements of our country. It is very important to increase the level of motivation and the level of performance in all links of this chain, in all municipalities of course because that is where the base is and at all levels that extend from the levels of local government to the smallest ones.
