The uncle of the murdered officer, Enea Mekolli, Hazbi Mek...
Today, Ardian Halili, who previously served as chief inspector of the IMT in Durrës, was arrested by police in the village of Shetaj in Ishëm.
Halili was arrested after, when he was chief inspector, he built several holiday homes and other buildings without permits.
Halili has been in command for 3 years (starting in 2018) and was dismissed from duty in April 2021.
Ardian Halili's illegally built facility is the luxury resort known as "Saint Michelle Camping Hotel Restaurant".
This resort includes residential homes, swimming pools, and other service structures.
The complex is suspected of being built without a permit in 2017 when the 55-year-old held public office./ CNA
