The National Civil Emergency Operations Center (QKOEC) at AKMC reports that from 09:00, date 26.08.2025 to 19:30, date 26.08.2025, 12 fires have been reported, of which 8 have been extinguished, 4 are active and 1 is under monitoring.

Yesterday, 25.08.2025, at around 15:00, in the village of Delisuf, Novoselë administrative unit, Vlorë municipality, a fire broke out in a forest area with pine and mixed vegetation. The fire, favored by the intensity of the wind, has spread widely, penetrating the Pishe-Poro forest.

Despite all the work done by the forces on the ground and the aerial intervention by the Air Force and United Arab Emirates helicopters, the fire remains active. The fire has expanded its perimeter during the night in length and width. Today, 3 MZSH vehicles and 20 BMEC personnel, 3 vehicles and 40 Armed Forces personnel, 3 vehicles and 18 personnel from the Vlora MZSH, 6 forces from the AdZM, 23 municipal forces, 10 police forces are engaged in the field. Today, 2 United Arab Emirates helicopters and 2 Air Force helicopters operated again. All forces are working to prevent the fire from passing into the hydrovor canal.

Yesterday, 25.08.2025, at around 16:30, in the village of Bogovë, Bogovë administrative unit, Skrapar municipality, a fire broke out in a hangar and then spread to a pine forest area.

Today, work continued to extinguish the fire with 7 firefighting vehicles with 22 personnel from the MZSH, Skrapar, Berat, Poliçan, 5 forces from the Forest Service, 35 municipal forces and 30 troops from the Armed Forces. The area covered so far is about 18 ha. As a result of the wind, several small fires within the main one have been reactivated. There are only two small fires within the burned area with the presence of smoke, there is no danger to homes.

In the Gërmenj Natural Park, Leskovik administrative unit, the volcano has been reactivated near pyramid 15. During the day, firefighters from the Kolonjë MZSH were deployed on the ground, working between pyramids 14 and 15, on the border with Greece. Today, the situation appears more normalized. The area will continue to be monitored by the Kolonjë MZSH forces.

In the village of Pezë Helmës, in the administrative unit of Pezë, a fire continues to be active in several areas in a terrain with no roads and dense vegetation that does not allow the intervention of firefighting forces. There are 4 firefighters with 1 firefighting vehicle on the ground who are on standby 24 hours a day, mainly near several homes that are located closer to the area, but far from the fire.

Complete isolation and fire extinguishing has been carried out in:
