SPAK will launch investigations into his report on "May 11"/ Aulon

The Special Court has decided today that SPAK will launch investigations into the claims of the candidate for deputy, Aulon Kalaja, who had filed a report for electoral crime in the May 11 parliamentary elections.

Kalaja himself has also reacted to the decision, stating that now the Special Prosecution Office has the power to uncover the truth and protect the free will of the citizens of Durrës.

He further adds that the Special Court is the first institution that is giving him justice for what he called his "civic mission." Kalaja says he hopes that this criminal proceeding will make a reality what he believes has never happened in Albania: the criminal punishment of electoral crime.

Dear friends, I want to share with you the good news that:

The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has decided to annul the decision of SPAK not to initiate criminal proceedings for the criminal complaint filed by me, as a candidate for deputy in the Durrës District in the general elections of May 11, 2025, regarding the criminal offense of "Structured criminal group, provided for by Article 333/a of the Criminal Code."

With this decision, the GjKKO has decided to establish the absolutely invalidity of the SPAK procedural act, which declared the lack of subject matter competence of SPAK to exercise criminal prosecution for the part of the criminal report where I reported the commission of the criminal offense of falsification of electoral materials, provided for by Article 326/2 of the Criminal Code, a criminal offense committed in a structured criminal group, according to Articles 28/4 and 334/1 of the Criminal Code.

The GJKKO has ordered SPAK to register criminal proceedings for each of these reported criminal offenses, setting as its duty to conduct a full and comprehensive investigation of each criminal fact that occurred between the candidates and the election administration in the CEAZ.

Not only that, but I would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the criminal report I have also criminally reported completely similar criminal facts that have been made public by the media as having occurred in Tirana, Dibër and Fier, proven as such by the recount of votes in these CEAZs. Since there was no address from the SPAK decision-making for this part of the criminal report, the GJKKO has ordered a full and comprehensive investigation into these criminal events as well.

It is in the honor and constitutional mission of SPAK to now shed light on the criminal truth suppressed by the CEAZ, CEC and KAS with illegal decisions at the ballot boxes.

I have pledged to every voter I have asked for a vote of confidence in Durrës County that I will do my best to protect their sincere will expressed on May 11th by vote. GJKKO is the first institution that is giving me the right to this civic mission launched in May of this year. I am hopeful that, no matter how much it is hidden, the truth cannot be drowned out.

I hope that this criminal proceeding will succeed in making a reality what has never happened in Albania: the criminal punishment of organized electoral crime!
