The Vlora airport issue/ Ola Xama raises questions: Why did they contract with

Journalist Ola Xama spoke about the Vlora airport issue, raising questions after businessman Valon Ademi's interview on Opinion.

Through a reaction on social media, Xama emphasizes that the accusations made about attempts to obtain the contract from a Russian company are unbelievable.

The journalist underlines that the businessman must clarify what prevents Behgjet Pacolli from selling the Mabco company to a Chinese, Russian or South Korean firm.

Further, Xama says that the criteria under which the state grants approval for the sale of shares in a contract are very clear and the condition is related to the company's ability and not the owner.

According to the journalist, the project has been jeopardized at the point of operation due to the departure of the Turkish firm YDA with the consensus of the two partners (Ademi and Pacolli) and the approval of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.

The journalist emphasizes that the two shareholders must explain why they took the Turkish company into the contract.

"The accusations that are being made about attempts to obtain the concession contract from a Russian company are unbelievable. Mr. Ademi must clarify what is currently preventing Mr. Pacolli from selling the Mabco company to a Chinese, Russian or South Korean firm? Nothing. Why should he do this maneuver through obtaining a loan and not directly when nothing is preventing him?"

The criteria under which the state approves the sale of shares in a concession contract are very clear: the company must have the same technical experience and financial capacity as the one leaving so as not to jeopardize the implementation of the project. So the condition is related to its ability and not to the owner.

And the project has been jeopardized at the point of operation due to the departure of the Turkish firm YDA with the consensus of the two partners (Ademi and Pacolli) and the approval of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy!

This is what the two shareholders of Vlora Airport need to explain: why did they take on the Turkish company in the contract? Who advised them to take it on and how is it possible that before a public contract is won, the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy must be met?

In yesterday's interview with Valon Ademi, I didn't understand two things:

1. Ademi claims 47% of the shares based on an investment value of 25 million euros made by his company 2A Group, while the total value invested in this contract (according to what he said) is 100 million euros. Then why does he not claim 25% of the shares but 47%?

2. Was the fact that Mr. Pacolli is connected to the Kremlin recently discovered or is his history of having businesses in the countries of the former Soviet Union known to everyone, including the Albanian government?" writes journalist Ola Xama.
