Today is the last farewell to Ismail Kadare, the tributes to TKOB begin

Tributes begin at the Opera and Ballet Theater for Ismal Kadare, the well-known writer who passed away in the early hours of Monday. 

His wife Helena Kadare, his two daughters and family members are near the coffin. 

Meanwhile, many famous figures have participated in this ceremony. Mayor Erion Veliaj is also present.

Tributes will continue from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the death of the well-known writer Ismail Kadare.

Meanwhile, at 1:00 p.m., every activity will be stopped and a minute of silence will be held in honor of the colossus of Albanian letters.

The Albanian government declared Tuesday and Wednesday days of national mourning. 

The colossus of Albanian literature passed away in the early hours of Monday in his apartment in Tirana from natural causes.

Kadare is considered one of the giants of Albanian literature. Author of dozens of novels, poems and essays, he is probably among the most well-known Albanians in the world, with his works translated into over 40 different languages ??and published around the world.

Kadare has been a candidate for the "Nobel" prize for literature several times in a row, while there are many prestigious international awards for his work, such as "International Booker Man Prize", "Prince of Asturias Award", "Jerusalem Prize", " Neustadt International Prize", "Nonino", "Park Kyong-ni"./  CNA
