Fire situation in 24 hours/ Ministry of Defense: 10 fires reported, 1 still

The National Civil Emergency Operations Center (NCEO) at AKMC reports that, from 09:00 to 20:00 on August 23, 2025, 10 fires were identified nationwide.

Thanks to close cooperation between institutions and the timely intervention of operational forces, it has been possible to extinguish and isolate 9 fire outbreaks, while only 1 outbreak remains under monitoring.

Firefighters, supported by local structures, the forest service, the police and specialized agencies, have intervened rapidly, ensuring the minimization of consequences and the safety of communities.

Complete isolation and extinguishing of fires has been carried out in:
In the village of Ibë, Bërzhitë administrative unit, Tirana municipality.
In the village of Roskovec, Roskovec administrative unit, Roskovec municipality.
In the village of Shkjezë, Bushat administrative unit, Vau-Dejës municipality.
In the village of Jeran, Kastrat administrative unit, Malësi e Madhe municipality.
On the Fier railway, Fier administrative unit, Fier municipality.
In the Sodës forest, administrative unit no. 4, Vlorë municipality.
In the village of Lapardha, Kotë administrative unit, Selenice municipality.
In the village of Pezë Helmës, Pezë administrative unit, Tirana municipality.
In the village of Brataj, Brataj administrative unit, Selenice municipality.

Currently, in the Gërmenj Natural Park, Kolonjë municipality, the fire is being monitored after several reactivations during the day.

Firefighters and numerous forces have operated on the ground, managing to bring the situation under control.

Responsible institutions continue to continuously monitor the territory and remain committed to immediate response in any emergency.
