"Sadushi was used politically, he does it for Veliaj"/ lawyer Gjikondi

Lawyer Brizida Gjikondi spoke in a television appearance about the Supreme Court's change in detention standards.

Gjikondi said that the President of the Supreme Court, Sadushi, is being used politically and is doing this for Veliaj.

The lawyer further stated that the Supreme Court's decision is unfair and entirely political.

" I am very disappointed with Sadushi, I did not expect him to be used politically. I do not believe that he does it for a large number of Albanians who are in detention, I do not believe that he sympathizes with Albanians. He does it for Veliaj and other prominent figures. I thought he would put the interests of Albania before his own."

The majority and Rama have launched a campaign of resistance to Albanian justice, and what Sadushi is doing is also a ploy for political gain. For 30 years, ordinary Albanians have been confined to detention. I am disappointed in Mr. Sadushi, the president of the Supreme Court.

"You can't change the rules in the middle of the game. The largest number of pre-trial detentions was not decided by SPAK, but by the prosecutors' offices of all districts. The Supreme Court's decision is not fair. Nothing stops me from thinking that it is a political stunt ," said Gjikondi./CNA
