After the damage to the road segment on the axis connecting Librazhd with Prrenjas, as well as on the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis and the damage to the foundation of a High Voltage pole, the situation has escalated further with the complete destruction of a segment of the Elbasan-Librazhd-Përrenjas-Gur i Kuq railway line.

According to data, the massive subsidence and displacement of land has severely affected the railway foundation in the Librazhd-Xhyrë segment, completely putting this part of the track, which is parallel to the highway and the course of the Shkumbin River, out of operation.
The supporting structures have been irreversibly damaged, while the tracks are deformed and displaced, making any attempt at rail traffic in this area impossible. /CNA
