The head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has announced that dozens of heavy machinery are working intensively and without interruption to create an alternative crossing on the Librazhd-Prrenjas road axis, following the damage to a 30-year-old bridge near the Dragostunja area.

According to sources on the ground, the intervention has become necessary to guarantee the circulation of vehicles and to avoid the temporary isolation of the area, an important segment connecting the southeast with the central part of the country.

The machines are working to open and arrange a provisional route, while specialists are also assessing the structural condition of the damaged bridge to determine the final intervention. The work is progressing at a high pace, with the aim of restoring normality to traffic as soon as possible.

Authorities have called on drivers to exercise increased caution when passing through the area and to respect temporary road signs until the intervention is fully completed.

Meanwhile, it is expected that in the coming days there will be an official announcement regarding the deadlines for completing the alternative crossing and the plan for the full rehabilitation of the damaged bridge./ CNA
