Situation in Korça Region, little snowfall in the Dardha area

The situation in the territory of Korça Region appears calm and without problems, according to information received from the responsible civil protection structures. Local self-government units do not report emergencies in the areas under their administration.

According to the Albanian Road Authority - Regional Directorate Center-East, during the night, low-intensity snowfalls were recorded in the segments K/Boboshticë–Dardhe and K/Lapidari i Podgorisë, in the Dardhe area. Road structures have intervened with cleaning and salting, while vehicle traffic continues normally.

There has been no precipitation on the Korçë–Ersekë (K.3), Zemblak–Goricë (K.6) and Bilisht–Miras axes, while the weather appears clear and without problems in traffic. Likewise, in Lot 7, on the Libonik–Rëmbec–Plasë and Korçë–Voskopojë axes, as well as in the segments of contract no. 2, no difficulties in the movement of vehicles are reported.

In the Ersekë–Tre Urat and Maliq–Kufi Gramsh segments, during last evening a high flow of movement and traffic caused by the passage of several trailers in violation of the restrictions was observed. During today, the movement appears reduced and the situation continues to be monitored.

Meanwhile, according to OSHEE - Korça Regional Dispatch, Fidri 9, NST Lozhan, there is no electricity in the Mesmal area, affecting about 40 subscribers. The working group is on the ground to identify and repair the defect, with the aim of restoring electricity supply as soon as possible.

Civil protection structures remain on full alert and in constant monitoring of the situation, while further official announcements are awaited for any further developments./ CNA
