The kilometer-long queues created in the southeast area after the blockage of the Librazhd-Pogradec road axis have created concern for citizens.

Some of them, in a statement regarding the situation, indicate that they have been locked inside their vehicles for several hours, without yet finding a solution.

"Today was a real disaster. I was returning from Qukës, the police told us to follow the road to Lozhan. It was blocked there and now we don't know where to go. I've been in Qukës since 1 o'clock, now it's 7 o'clock and we don't know where we're going," says a citizen.

Citizens also say that this blockade is making it impossible to travel to the capital.

"There's no way to escape home. What's happening? I want to escape to Tirana. Can't I go? All the roads are blocked. Tell me where to go. I can't!" says one of the citizens.

Currently, Traffic Police services are located at the following points: Qafë Thanë Intersection, Qafë Plloçë Intersection and Maliqi Intersection, where they are providing guidance to drivers.

Meanwhile, traffic for vehicles up to 3.5 tons will be diverted to the Maliq-Lozhan-Moglicë-Gramsh axis, towards Tirana and vice versa./CNA
