The damages that caused the blockage of the Librazhd-Pogradec axis / The Elbasan

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan has announced the initiation of criminal proceedings for the damages that caused the complete blockage of traffic on the Librazhd-Pogradec road axis.

The investigation has been registered for several criminal offenses under the Criminal Code, including: Abuse of office (Article 248) Violation of equality in public tenders or auctions (Article 258) Destruction of the road (Article 155) Pollution of air, water or land (Article 201)

For this purpose, an investigative group has been created that will carry out all necessary actions to identify those responsible and clarify the circumstances of the case.

The prosecution emphasizes that its actions aim at legal responsibility and the protection of public infrastructure, ensuring that such cases do not recur.

"The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, in response to the interest of various media, has announced that it has initiated criminal proceedings primarily for the damages that have led to the complete blockage of traffic on the Librazhd-Pogradec road axis.

This criminal proceeding has been registered for the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office", "Violation of equality in public tenders or auctions", "Destruction of the road", "Pollution of air, water or land", provided for respectively by articles 248, 258, 155 and 201 of the Criminal Code.

"For this purpose, an investigative group has been created," the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office announced.

Earlier, the Albanian Road Authority shared some instructions, triggered by the aggravated traffic situation, as a result of the blockage of the Librazhd-Prrenjas national axis, in the place called "Arrat e Gurrës".

It is suggested to use alternative axes as follows:

For cars:

Maliq – Lozhan – Strelc – Gramsh – Elbasan

Qafthanë – Pogradec – Korça – Leskovik – Përmet – Tepelena

For heavy tonnage vehicles:

Customs point Qafë Thanë – Macedonia – Customs point of Bllata – Arbër Road
