In all axes of the country, traffic is open and movements are carried out without difficulty.

However, ARRSH advises the use of chains and winter tires on snowy segments.

"Drivers should be equipped with winter tires and chains when traveling to segments with the presence of snow, reduce speed, respect the traffic signs and instructions of the Traffic Police" - it is stated in the announcement of the ARRSH.

According to the Albanian Road Authority, a day after traffic problems appeared on some roads in the country as a result of the snowfall, the situation has improved significantly.

"During the hours of the night and in the morning, the intensity of precipitation has decreased throughout the territory. Temperatures have been down to -6 in the mountainous areas. Maintenance work groups have been working without interruption on all axes with the presence of snow for cleaning , expansion and avoidance of frosts. Circulation continues without problems on all national axes" - announces ARRSH.

The entire north and south-east of the country were engulfed by heavy snowfall last evening, where there were also traffic problems, mainly on the Arbri road./ CNA
