Albania has marked another very important step in the process of integration into the European Union.
The compatibility review process, known as "screening", was successfully completed this week in Brussels.
The news was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, in a post on social networks.
This process lasted for 14 months with 777 presentations, with the involvement of over 1500 Albanian experts and 1000 experts from the European Commission.
Since 2022, 300 explanatory and bilateral meetings were held to review the acquis. This process brings Albania closer to the European Union and makes it more prepared for the further stages of integration.
The next step is to open the first group of chapters on basic issues. An incentive for intensive engagement, in order to speed up the process of Albania's accession to the EU. / CNA
