A 40-year-old surgeon of Albanian origin has been sentenced by the Monza court to 20 months in prison after sexually harassing a 20-year-old girl.
The accusations against the doctor were made by the 20-year-old woman.
She had gone to the emergency room with her boyfriend, who had been ill. During the period when the boyfriend was taking medication, the girl asked the doctor to show her a place where she could smoke.
He accompanied the girl to an area where she could smoke and during this time it is claimed that the doctor touched her.
The 20-year-old told the situation to her boyfriend and they made a recording, but in the audio, at no time did the doctor claim such a thing.
The controversial event took place at the Zucchi clinic where the doctor was working at the time.
The doctor said that the young woman was caught smoking inside the hospital premises, but such a thing is not allowed, so he asked her not to stay there anymore. According to the doctor, this has caused the girl to raise the charges./ CNA
