"High intensity rainfall"/ IGJEUM: Here's how the weather is

Next week is expected to start with heavy rainfall, which will cover almost the entire territory of Albania.

According to the forecast from the Institute of Geosciences, Monday will be accompanied by intense rainfall, which is expected to increase during the afternoon.

The rainfall situation is expected to be more problematic in several regions of the country, as follows:

Precipitation:

Tomorrow, Monday, November 17, moderate to locally intense rainfall is expected in the regions of Shkodër, Lezhë and Vlorë, while in the regions of Kukës, Dibër, Durrës, Tirana and Gjirokastër, light to locally moderate rainfall is expected, accompanied by thunderstorms. Light rainfall is expected in the other regions. Most of the rainfall is expected from tomorrow afternoon.

Storms and high rainfall intensity can create various problems, as well as water flooding in urban areas, depending on the sewage system in the regions of Shkodër, Lezha and Vlora.

Temperature:

Tomorrow, minimum and maximum air temperatures are expected to reach:

on the coast: 10 / 21 °c

in lowlands: 9 / 22 °c

in mountainous areas: 7 / 18 °c

Wind:

Tomorrow the wind is expected to blow moderately to strongly, mainly on the coast. /CNA
