"A well-read society, hope for the future"/ The second book of fairy

Renowned actress Elia Zaharia comes to the 28th edition of the Book Fair with another work for children. "The Pearl and the Golden Deer" is the second book of fairy tales written by Zaharia, who tells CNA that parents do not skimp on books, while appearing optimistic about the desire of little ones to read.

"Parents deny themselves an investment, they don't spare money on their children, because in fact, they don't spare money on books, because the book returns the investment. It is the most important thing to build a conscious generation, because reading starts from childhood. I am optimistic about the fair. I am very inspired by the children who come and know well what they want, they know children's literature", said Elia Zaharia

But is it difficult to write for children, get their attention, and convey the right message?

"The book competes with technology now. It is a challenge for authors. I have the second book and I have had a very good experience with both books, the approach of children and parents to books has been very exciting for me. It is not difficult as long as we have kept the child alive within us.

To talk about children you have to get inside them and speak their language. Of course for a person who has not cultivated the fantasy, or the flighty part of the child. I have kept this part alive both through fairy tales and through my nature. But also the mission, because besides the fun part, it is a mission.

"To speak to children, you have to be aware that you have to choose the right language, pure Albanian, the right messages and the way to transmit these messages, because often, wanting to give messages, it can be absorbed as a moral and the child will automatically reject it. The messages have to come between the lines, so that they are not read, but understood. I try to be careful with all these elements," she said.

This is also the author's message regarding reading.

"We should never be separated from books, at any age, because only a well-read society can guarantee hope for the future," said Zaharia. /CNA
