World Patriarch publishes the books "The Spread of Bektashism in Albania

The World Grand Patriarch of the Bektashis, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, has published the books “The Spread of Bektashism in Albania - Volume I and II”. These two publications that shed light on the history, spread and spiritual role of Bektashism in Albanian lands were presented by the World Grand Patriarch of the Bektashis, within the framework of the 2025 Book Fair.

Present at this event were the leaders of the "Book Fair-2025", representatives of state and religious institutions, scholars, friends of knowledge and lovers of Bektashi culture. These two volumes represent a profound work of research and spirituality, carried out with the aim of documenting the history of tekkes, mausoleums, personalities and the centuries-old journey of Bektashiism in the Albanian space.

Baba Mondi himself spoke at the event, where he stated that the importance and essence of these publications is that, in every place where a tekke has been and is being built, a hearth of light and peace is being built there. The World Grandmaster of the Bektashis also said that these books are not only historical evidence, but also a call for spiritual reflection.

"Honored representatives of religious and state institutions, dear scholars, believers, friends and lovers of knowledge. With peace and love I greet you on this blessed day, where the written word unites us in the name of knowledge, spirit and our common heritage.

It is a special pleasure that today, at this Book Fair, we present two important works for our history and spiritual identity: "The Spread of Bektashism in Albania - Volumes I and II".

These two volumes are the fruit of a research, spiritual and historical work, which aims to reflect with dedication the path of the spread of Bektashism in Albanian lands. They shed light on the role of tekkes, mausoleums and prominent Bektashi figures in preserving faith, culture, national identity and in spreading the values ??of love, tolerance and coexistence.

The importance and essence of these publications is that, in every place where a tekke has been and is being built, a hearth of light and peace is being built there.

Bektashiism has been and remains a spiritual bridge that connects people with God and with each other, through the holy path of the good, just and honest man. At all times, the teachings of the Bektashis have illuminated the hearts of people with piety, peace and universal brotherhood.

These books are not only historical testimonies, but also calls for spiritual reflection. Through their pages, the reader travels through hundreds of years of experience, devotion, and service to God and nation, seeing how Bektashism has been a living part of Albanian life in every corner of this country since the 13th–14th centuries.

At this Fair, I would like to thank all those who have helped in the realization of these works: researchers, collaborators, publishers, and all friends who share with us the same mission – to preserve and transmit the spiritual and human values ??that unite us.

May these publications be a guide for today's and future generations, a living testimony that religion, knowledge and love are three pillars that hold up man and the nation. In the spirit of God, in peace and love, I congratulate you and wish you fruitful reading! May light, peace and love be in every heart! " , said the World Grand Master of the Bektashis. /CNA
