"'Struck' every negative phenomenon"/ The sharp pen of Bujar

He is known for his sharp pen, a satire that subtly and wisely strikes at everyday reality.

We are talking about the great master, Bujar Kapexhiu, who comes to the 28th edition of the Book Fair with two books: "Seferi Tirones", a collection of satires, and "Poetry, humor and satire".

In an interview with CNA, Kapexhiu reveals the secret to his success.

"In general, it "hits" all phenomena that are negative, backward, that do not belong to a society that is prosperous, a modern society, a European society. All these phenomena that enter into the character of people, into the organization of institutions, into government problems. In all of these, the individual, the family, society, all negative phenomena.

I create humor with them, I create satire, to show people that these phenomena should not happen. These behaviors in our society should not be continuous, but we must eradicate them, as much as we can, especially since we are moving towards Europe. Humor is intended to mock, not to slander, but to stigmatize, always without insults, without denigration, always in a beautiful sense of humor and satire, " says Kapexhiu.

And since modesty is a characteristic of great people, Kapexhiu admits that he was wrong in his humor.

"If the creator has good morals, if he is not a brawler, if he is not angry, if he does not seek revenge and does not create insults, intentionally or unintentionally, while maintaining ethics, he always hits the character, the problem, the phenomenon, the fact, or the joke, but of course with etiquette and a good sense of humor. Of course, I have tried to be within ethics, but it does not mean that my pen has not slipped sometimes. However, I have corrected it other times and with that civic courage, I have also apologized ," he confessed.

But why is humor guaranteed to be successful?

"There is a lot of interest, because everywhere in the world, satire and humor are liked, in all genres, film, theater, variety shows, even more so in humorous writings. Even more so since there are very few here who make humor and satire. Readers are also inclined towards humor and satire. People have fun with humor. There is a saying, "humor is the privilege of the wise", but not only those who create it, but also those who consume it, must be at the level to understand it, to laugh, that is, to be wise" , said Kapexhiu

Finally, Bujar Kapexhiu has another call for citizens.

"People want to read, those who love books are everywhere in the corridors of this fair, we invite them to come as much as possible. Those who see us, if they have not come to the fair, or are too lazy to enter the bookstore, I say to them: try, enter a bookstore, like you enter a restaurant, supermarket, because you will find the best food for your mind ," he said. /CNA
