IBAR/Këlliçi Report: Victory for Albanian citizens

DP MP Belind Këlliçi spoke about the IBAR report, stating that all the concerns raised in the report are the same as those raised by the opposition for years.

Invited to the "Task Force" on Syri TV, Këlliçi said that unlike the February report, Albanian citizens and Albanian institutions benefit from this report.

He said that for the first time, such a report is listed as a condition for closing group chapters, creating a level playing field for political forces competing in the elections.

While he described it as a victory for the opposition as well, he adds that this situation should be concluded with a final product, which according to him is the technical government.

"All of these concerns raised in the report are concerns raised by the DP. The opposition has meticulously requested all of these recommendations that are listed in the report. When we talk about regretting the decision-making of the Assembly, of course they are talking about the critical "Balluku" test."

The DP has managed to make this change in the May report, compared to the February one, benefit Albanian citizens and Albanian institutions. The conditions set for closing the chapters relate to the concerns that the opposition has today and the main concerns for democracy in the country.

Regarding the elections, for the first time, patronage networks and the creation of a level playing field in the elections for political forces are mentioned. For the first time, this is a condition for closing the group chapters. The February report was positive for the government in relation to the reality here.

This report talks about all the issues that we have raised for several years. It talks about the integrity of the state police. We cannot go through this situation as if it were a honeymoon period with the majority, but the DP must achieve victory, the technical government. This is a litmus test for the DP.
