Ban on Albanian activist from Israel/ Minister Hoxha reacts: The Embassy in Tel Aviv should provide him with the necessary assistance

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, has made a reaction on the X platform regarding the Albanian activist who was on the flotilla heading to Gaza, detained by Israel.

In his response, Hoxha writes that all detainees should be treated with dignity and full respect for human rights.

Regarding the Albanian activist, the minister states that he has instructed the Albanian embassy in Tel Aviv to stay in contact with the Israeli authorities to provide the Albanian activist with the necessary assistance.

The images shared by Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, showing the humiliating treatment of detained #flotilla activists, are shocking and unacceptable.

All detained persons must be treated with dignity and with full respect for human rights, international law and humanitarian law.

I have instructed our #Embassy in Tel Aviv to remain in close contact and coordination with the Israeli authorities, to ensure that our citizen is provided with appropriate consular assistance, as needed and in full compliance with international law.
