Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the process of verifying damages has begun in the entire area affected by the floods, while the situation is improving.
The water level in the Vjosa River has dropped significantly, reducing the risk to residents and surrounding areas.
Rama emphasized that the relevant structures are on the ground and remain fully prepared to assist citizens in any need or emergency.
Authorities are assessing damage to homes, agricultural land and infrastructure.
"The water level in the Vjosa River has dropped significantly. The process of verifying the damages in the entire area has begun, while the relevant structures remain on standby and at the full service of all residents for any need or emergency," Rama writes./ CNA
