Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj has given a fourth interview to journalist Çim Peka on Syri TV.

In his fourth interview, Ahmetaj said there was a plan for his physical elimination.

Further, Ahmetaj said that an attempt was made to kidnap his 1-year-old daughter.

" The well-organized genocide against my family has continued. I have said that there is a semi-mafia structure, which has been proven over the years, made up of the head of the organization down to his assistants."

They threatened me at the Nobis roundabout, where I lived. Within the criminal group, there was a plan to physically eliminate me. I had crossed the border illegally into Italy and they were going to take me to prison so that I wouldn't come out alive from there. All forms of mafia crime were attempted against me and my family. There was an attempt to kidnap my child, who was only 1 year old.

"I have serious doubts that there was a plan to arrest me to physically eliminate me ," said Ahmetaj.

 

Further in his interview, the former deputy prime minister revealed that in October 2025, 3 messages threatening him with death had been sent to his phone number.

Ahmetaj said that one of the terrorist's messages came from a number from Venezuela or Myanmar.

These messages, Ahmetaj said, were sent to the authorities and not only to the Swiss ones.

 

" One of the three messages in October, a number either from Venezuela or from Myanmar. I don't believe it's a coincidence. The message is a death threat. All three of these messages are with authorities, not just Swiss ones, the still informal information I have is that they are numbers with very fast VPN changes, which leads me to the logic that they are not to be taken lightly. Is it a coincidence that it has to do with the October events in Albania? I don't know ," said Ahmetaj./CNA
