The situation caused by heavy rainfall in Novoselo is reported to be critical due to flooding.
Police authorities are working to evacuate residents and it is reported that three families who had remained isolated in their homes have been safely evacuated by boat.
The police announcement also states that other residents from the affected areas have been evacuated, while emphasizing that the operation continues on the ground.

The Vlora DVP Police Services (Special Force "Eagle", Public Order and Road Police), in cooperation with the Delta Force services, the Vlora DVKM and the Civil Emergency services, continue to manage the situation created in Novoselë, as a result of heavy rainfall and the increase in the water level of the Vjosa River.
As a result of the immediate intervention of the Police officers, three families who had remained isolated in their homes were safely evacuated by floating vehicle. The family members are in good health.
Other residents have also been evacuated from the affected areas, while the operation continues on the ground.
Police are calling on residents to cooperate with emergency services and follow the instructions given. / CNA
