The Chairperson of the Audiovisual Media Authority, AMA, Armela Krasniqi, hosted on Thursday the OSCE/ODIHR representatives from the Election Observation Mission, Giovana Maiola, media analyst, and Ruzica Jovanovi?, media specialist, where the focus of the meeting was preparations by AMA for the process of monitoring the coverage of the electoral campaign by OSMAs, for the local elections of May 14, 2023.

Krasniqi informed the OSCE/ODIHR representatives about the specific commitment of the Authority, about the cooperation with the CEC, about the training of the monitors that will be included in the process, about the reminder notices that he addressed to the OSHMAs about the need to respect the standards and requirements of the Electoral Code, etc.

Responding to the interest of Maiola and Jovanovic, the president of the AMA presented the efforts that the institution has been making for more than a year and a half, in cooperation with the Council of Europe's representation in Albania, to improve the technical and technological monitoring infrastructure .
