The High Court has decided to reject the request of the mayor arrested on 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses, Erion Veliaj.

Veliaj had requested the invalidation of SPAK's investigative actions.

The Supreme Court in its decision states that:

"Rejection of the appeals filed by Erion Veliaj against decision 228(87-2025-359) dated 20.10.2025, of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime."

CNA has reported that despite being in the dungeon of Durrës prison on 13 charges of serious criminal offenses, Veliaj continues to orchestrate attacks, scenarios, and manipulations using his media as his servants.
