"Authorized Economic Operator" status/Director General of Customs,

The Director General of Customs, Besmir Beja, held a meeting with representatives of businesses applying for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status. The focus of the conversation was on accelerating the application process, without compromising the necessary standards and verifications.

During his speech, Beja stated that the Customs Administration should be at the service of entrepreneurship and citizens. He also emphasized the importance of partnership with business for fair and secure trade.

On the other hand, businesses appreciated the cooperation with Customs, describing it as a correct and supportive institution at every step of the process.

Currently, 18 companies have obtained AEO status, while 13 more are in the process of applying. This status offers customs facilitations and simplifications for reliable operators, increasing competitiveness and security in international trade. /CNA
