Former Minister: Albania and Kosovo on the Peace Board, keeping the vital

Former Foreign Minister Aldo Bumçi commented today on the participation of Albania and Kosovo in the Peace Board.

Invited to "A2 CNN", Bumçi said that it is important for the two countries to participate, as not only does it not have a negative impact, but it also keeps the partnership with the US alive.

 "The initiative itself has many unclear issues, with the way international organizations are created, but we, Kosovo, must participate and there is no question of that. We do not lose or risk, we keep alive a vital partnership for us."

 Is the way it was raised the right way and should there be preparatory work that is done at other levels as well? This work is not done publicly because it could create problems. Looking at how Mr. Rama has handled these issues, we have seen that in other cases he has not helped Mr. Thaçi.

"It's great that you raised it as an issue, but if you haven't raised it with the State Department, it won't have any effect, just as it didn't in the Council of Europe. You're using it to raise it, but it's not because it serves Mr. Thaçi, Kosovo, or the cause," Bumçi said. /CNA
