"They should be ashamed of that justice"/ Rama-Trump on the Hague

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech at the inaugural meeting of the Peace Board. During his speech, Rama also touched on the Hague tribunal, saying that some heads of state should be ashamed of that international justice.

Rama said that a court that has failed to respect the standards of justice is trying a man who stood up against the ethnic cleansing of his nation.

Addressing President Trump, Rama said that something must be done before bad things happen again.

 

"Today the president of Kosovo has spent 6 years in The Hague, where there are some leaders of states who should be ashamed of that international justice. Last week a prosecutor asked for 45 years in prison for him, a request that caused shock around the world. A man who stood up against ethnic cleansing in a court that has failed to respect the standards of democratic justice. President, let's do something before bad things happen again.

 

"Thank you for including Albania in this initiative. We hope to be an added value in your extraordinary vision ," said Rama.
