Over 1000 officers on the ground/ Police publish measures for opposition protest

The police have taken measures for the national protest called by the opposition, on Friday at 6:00 PM in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

 Over 1,000 officers will be on the ground and on standby, including law enforcement, the National Security Forces and RENEA, as well as civilian agents.

Starting at 23:45 today, parking of vehicles will not be allowed until the end of the rally on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard. Parking is prohibited from the place called “Ura e Dajtit” to “Ismail Qemali” street.

Tomorrow, starting at 3:00 PM until the end of the protest, there will be a traffic jam on the “Deshmorët e Kombit” boulevard. The blockade starts from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to “Mother Teresa” Square. It will also be on “Ukraine e Lirë”, “Papa John Paul II” and “Ismail Qemali” streets.

There may be vehicle traffic restrictions on other road axes as well, depending on the development of the rally.

In the event of a blockage, Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic through alternative routes.

Tirana Police calls on citizens to distance themselves if they encounter illegal actions that violate public order and safety.
