The establishment of the Special Commission/ Rama: Necessity of a new wave of
Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the meeting of the SP group for the process of Albania's integration into the EU, has revealed the reasons for the establishment of the Special Commission, which will appeal to the institutions.

"It was unfairly imagined as an attempt by the SP to control justice. I want to elaborate a little more on the big reasons why the 'Anti-corruption' commission was established and the necessity of a new wave of reforms that does not only deal directly with the government, but also with independent institutions.

All the material to understand the initiative can be found in the documents drawn up during and at the end of the process of diagnosing Albania after the opening of negotiations, a process that in EU language is called screening. Enables cell-by-cell reading of state organization state. Of course, it is followed by prescriptions to completely cure that organism, enabling the preparation for the country's membership in the EU to end with a completely clear and successful diagnosis.

It was a process that lasted 14 months. Albania's negotiations with the EU are not led by the government, the government leads the process and has an essential part of the work to make the country ready for citizenship. The EU does not negotiate with the government but with the Albanian state. 157 institutions are part of the entire composition of our national team that negotiated with the EU.

32 independent institutions are involved in this process.

To ensure that the diagnosis reaches the cell, the institution has direct explanatory meetings. 67 of these have been held in Brussels, there are 114 coordination meetings, 777 presentations by Albania at the negotiating table and 232 meetings of inter-institutional working groups. These figures are necessary to read the entire panorama.

This is necessary to understand the why of this Special Commission.

There are a number of chapters, starting from the basic ones and which have as their main themes transformed into presentations public policies, anti-corruption, preventive and punitive measures, declaration and control of assets, public services, public procurement, private business", said Rama./ CNA
