The head of the LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, has stated that the protest called on July 11 by the opposition is a final maneuver to settle accounts within the DP.

In an interview on A2Cnn, Shehi said that he does not see anything new since it is the same group that is protesting with leader Berisha.

"There is nothing wrong with the protest, but I see it as a final maneuver that within the DP is closing their own accounts that they had overused. Now the seal was taken. Let's take those who think differently and include them here within our group. It is a continuation of the same policy that we are the largest opposition group and we will make the law within the opposition. It is the same group led by Berisha and I don't see anything new. I look at posts from the topics that we as the opposition have today. The most important topic today is changing the electoral code.

Have you seen anything? It is not proceeding with the reform because there is no desire from any party. All this is an operation to close the last accounts within the DP and to launch the new leadership as they think, who are within the philosophy of the DP and it is their right to close their affairs, but this is not the action opposition at the moment. The opposition action is to change the electoral code to give all opposition factors a chance to enter the election and have a chance to be represented. With this code that we have today, they were excluded by law, this is the 2009 code, the 2008 agreement against democracy. They act as if they don't know", said Shehi./ CNA
