National and International Marathons / Roads that will be blocked in Pogradec

Police, plan of measures for the success of the National and International Marathon that will take place on 27.07.2024, in the city of Pogradec.

On 27.07.2024, at 19:00, in the city of Pogradec, the association "Maraton Albania" and the Municipality of Pogradec, as part of the plan of activities for participation in the National and International Marathons, will organize a marathon sports activity, which includes two disciplines:

- The first discipline (21 km) "half marathon", which starts from the village of Lin, continues along the road axis by the lake and ends in the center of the city of Pogradec;

- The second discipline (10 km) "mini marathon", which starts from the center of the city of Pogradec and continues towards the village of Buçimas and Tushemisht, ending at the starting point, in the center of Pogradec, along the promenade by the lake and the connecting ring.

For the smooth running of this activity, Police structures will take measures to maintain public order, create road safety parameters, ensure free circulation and without risks for the contestants, as well as prevent road incidents. For this purpose, we inform all drivers that:

Lin-Pogradec road axes, Tushemisht-Pogradec road segment will be blocked in both lanes, from 19:00 to 20:30. The roads inside the city of Pogradec will also be blocked until the end of this activity.

The Korçë Local Police Directorate requests the understanding of road users, for the prohibition of the circulation of vehicles, on the above-mentioned road axes, from the moment of the start of this activity until its end.
