Malaj: 202 thousand taxpayers will benefit from the cancellation and elimination of tax and customs duties

The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, stated during his speech at the Committee on Legal Affairs and Public Administration that all taxpayers benefit from the draft law "On the cancellation and extinguishment of all tax and customs obligations".

Malaj also pointed out cases where taxpayers will not benefit. The Minister also announced that there are around 202 thousand taxpayers who benefit from this draft law.

" The draft law that deals with the deletion and extinguishment of all tax and customs obligations benefits all taxpayers. There are no criteria in terms of who benefits or who does not. Except for the cases that we discussed on the issue that have a court decision, cases that have an investigative process or cases where there is criminal prosecution against these taxpayers. In addition to these, all other taxpayers benefit. It is not a small number, there are about 202 thousand taxpayers, beneficiaries of this draft law ," said Malaj. /CNA
