Today, as we reported earlier, a preliminary hearing for the arrested mayor Erion Veliaj will be held at the GJKKO.
What is expected to be seen today is whether Veliaj will participate or will try to avoid the preliminary hearing.
Meanwhile, SPAK has been sending Veliaj's file for trial for 4 months.
If Erion Veliaj and his lawyers had the will and faced the law, perhaps the case could have been over by now.
Erion Veliaj would probably be in office and performing his duties normally or he would be serving his sentence depending on the decision made by the Special Court.
We recall that initially the preliminary hearing for Veliaj was scheduled to be held almost 1 month ago, on October 28. But due to the strategies used by Veliaj and the excuses invented by his soldiers, the preliminary hearing has only been postponed./CNA
