The peak of Bogonica was named after the hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku, who lost his life after being shot by a Serbian terrorist group.

The group of mountain climbing and hiking in nature Ceta Hiking decided that on October 1st it will make its first ascent with the motive that the members of the group were very inspired by.

They climbed the Bogonica Peak 1653 m with a 1452 m drop, one of the most beautiful and valuable peaks in the Vlora District, and renamed this peak with the name Afrim Bunjak Peak in honor of the martyred policeman of the homeland who fell in north of Kosovo.

The departure from the meeting point between the members took place at 6:30 am and the start of the ascent at 8 am. The ascent was accomplished without a problem and for a very satisfying time taking from her all that she could offer to each.

After an hour's stay at the Afrim Bunjaku Peak to build a pyramid and place the flag that will stand on the top, and after signing another flag by all the members to send it to Afrim Bunjaku's family in Kosovo, the descent began. / CNA
