Singer and former notary, Luiz Ejli

The singer and former notary, Luiz Ejlli, has been charged and taken as a defendant by Albanian justice since December 26, 2022.

He is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "forgery of documents, carried out in collaboration".

During the time that Ejlli was in "Big Brother VIP", there was an open legal battle with justice, started in the city of Lushnja, this process is currently continuing in the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of Fier, after the new judicial map.

The prosecution has demanded the punishment of Luiz Ejlli and if the charges are proven, referring to the criminal code, the latter risks from 6 months to 4 years of imprisonment.

Chronology of the event

On February 25, 2022, the citizen FA submitted to the prosecutor's office a notarial statement, which according to him was made at the notary office of Luiz Ejlli on December 16, 2015 and contained the data as in facsimile "No. 663 Rep, No. 213 Kol date 16.12.2015".

This statement contained the receipt of a loan in two installments of 151 thousand euros in the years 2008-2015 and 60 thousand euros in the years 2011-2015. The wife of the FA citizen had taken this money to pay off a loan.

But this statement submitted to the prosecution was not found in the archives of the Ministry of Justice, in response to requests for information.

This has led the prosecutor's office to suspect that there may be a legal violation and has deepened the investigations into the notary activity of Luiz Ejlli.

The prosecution has searched the archives of the notary Luiz Ejlli for information about this notarial statement and it turns out to be a statement, but in the name of another citizen and not the wife of the citizen FA, whose property was seized.

The inconsistency of these statements has prompted the prosecution to open the register of the former notary Ejlli.

According to FaktCheck, it was discovered that neither on 16.12.2015 nor after that date did the FA citizen ever perform a notarial act at Luiz Ejlli's office.

For this reason, the Prosecutor's Office has raised accusations that we are dealing with an intellectual forgery, where the content of a document has been changed and not the signature and seal.

"Given that the writing, his signature and the imprints of the seals on this document (Notarial Declaration) are the same as those found with other documents submitted by him to the notary VS (which keeps the archive of Luiz Ejllit), so it does not are falsified but the contents are different, the indisputable conclusion is reached that this false document in contents was created in cooperation between Luiz Ejlli and the citizen FA in order for the latter to use it to justify his wealth subject to criminal proceedings", declares the Prosecutor's Office of Fiert.

According to Pokuroria, "It is a proven result that the FA citizen has committed the criminal offense of "forgery of documents, in the form of intellectual forgery in collaboration with former notary Luiz Ejlli, as the latter says the prosecution had the stamps until 16 April 2022 when they were taken over and put out of use by a commission set up by the Ministry of Justice".
