The Ministry of Education, Evis Kushi, was asked today by journalists if the University of Korça will merge with that of Tirana.

Kushi said that this will not happen, as the University of Korça has its own potential, capacity, staff and students.

She emphasized that the University of Korça will continue to grow even more.

"The University of Korça will continue but will grow even more. The potential is there, there are wonderful students and staff, as well as facilities. Korça has a tradition in education, so there will be further development. There were various proposals, not decisions, the important thing is to discuss them as we did today. We decided that the way is the internationalization and profiling of the university", underlined Kushi.

The minister made this statement after a meeting with the academic staff of Korça, in the amphitheater hall of the Faculty of Education and Philology.
