Some media outlets reported today a piece of news, a fake news, that SPAK had raided the home of a deputy, a few days ago and today, as part of electoral investigations.

In fact, this is false news. In order to check an MP, SPAK would first have to contact the Assembly, which is the institution that grants authorization for such checks.

There has been no request for any MP from the Elbasan district in the Assembly. Official sources from the Assembly told CNA that there has been no request from SPAK to check any MP and moreover, the Mandates Council has not met to give such an authorization . So it turns out that the news is a massive fake news.

 

SPAK has conducted inspections both last week and this week due to various investigative and criminal matters related to crime, corruption, etc.

There are several issues in Elbasan, but no MP has been checked. This has been officially confirmed by the Parliament and on the other hand, SPAK checks may be specific investigations that go to businessmen, citizens, criminal groups, etc./ CNA
