The "Defender Europe '25" exercise has officially begun.
The Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that today in the early hours of the morning, the troops of the Albanian Land Force departed from the Zall-Herri garrison towards the Biza Training Center.
“Defender Europe '25” is being conducted under the leadership of the US European Command (EUCOM), in close cooperation with NATO allies and partners.
" The Albanian Land Force troops departed in the early hours of this morning, from the Zall-Herri garrison towards the Biza Training Center, marking the official start of the joint exercise "Defender Europe '25".
This international exercise, one of the largest and most complex of the last decade in Europe and Africa, is conducted under the leadership of the US European Command (EUCOM), in close cooperation with NATO allies and partners. Albania, as one of the main host countries, plays a strategic role in ensuring the success of the planned operations and developments.
"Defender Europe '25" aims to increase interoperability between allied armed forces, strengthen military readiness and the ability to react quickly to any potential threat in the Euro-Atlantic space.
"The Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania remain committed to ensuring a successful operational environment and contributing to collective defense, regional stability and international peace ," the ministry announced./ CNA
