Corridor VIII/ Rama inspects works on the Librazhd-Përrenjas axis

Prime Minister Edi Rama conducted an inspection of the Librazhd–Prrenjas segment of Road Corridor 8, to assess the progress of the works and the condition of the infrastructure.

The visit also included the problematic area of ??Arrave i Gurres in Dragostunje, where the collapse of the road has caused concerns for the traffic and safety of residents and travelers. During the inspection, Rama met with the leaders of the construction company to discuss the technical challenges, the deadlines for completing the works and the safety measures for the stability of the road.

Corridor 8 is of strategic importance for connecting the southeastern areas, reducing travel times and increasing road safety. Interventions in Arrat e Gurres aim to restore normal traffic and prevent new collapses.

According to reports, Rama stated during the inspection: "The safety of citizens and the functionality of the roads are the government's priority, and any investment in this corridor will be sustainable and long-term," emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation with construction companies.
