Video/ Balluku breaks down in tears as he hands over the ministerial position to Enea Karakaci

Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, today handed over her duties to her successor at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaç.

During her speech, Balluku praised the new Minister of Infrastructure and Energy and thanked Prime Minister Edi Rama for the trust shown.

Balluku, in handing over his duties, also focused on the legal process against her, which he called a public trial.

The former deputy prime minister was overwhelmed during her speech, as she said that she has faced public trials since she was a child.

Balluku further stated that she will continue on her own path to bring the truth to light.

 

" I don't have 300, 30, or 3 apartments. I don't have yachts or limousines. All of this is part of a public trial that is conducted with the greatest ease in this country. Perhaps my back can handle the public trial better than anyone else, as I have been seasoned and trained since I was little."

I regret that my personal situation has created delays in the functioning of the ministry. I regret the days and months lost in important processes that need to be moved forward immediately.

"You will overcome this entire situation by letting me continue my political and personal journey to bring the truth to light," Balluku said./CNA
