Journalist Klodiana Lala shared with the public today some details that led to the decision to dismiss the former Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda.

In a television studio, Lala stated that the attacks on the villa of former dictator Enver Hoxha were a pretext, as according to her the real reason was that Proda was using the institution as his own property.

 "It is known how he escaped, a pretext was found for throwing some Molotov cocktails at the former Villa of dictator Hoxha during the last opposition protest. The opposition had a march towards the country's institutions. The first stop was at the General Directorate of Police where there were also accusations from Berisha against Proda for links to the criminal world. Rama used the Molotov cocktail attack at the former Villa of dictator Hoxha as a pretext. But in light of the facts and the fact that there was a great deal of dissatisfaction, Proda had signed a series of transfers and reductions in Grada. So Mr. Rama simply had a pretext for what happened.
