7 MPs of the opposition have been expelled from the Assembly for 10 days for the situation created in the plenary session where the budget was voted on.

It was the Socialist Party that demanded the expulsion of 7 opposition MPs. The decision was made at the Ethics Secretariat. 

The expelled MPs are: Ervin Salianji, Bledjon Nallbati, Asllan Dogjani, Lefter Gështenja, Isuf Çelaj, Xhelal Mziu and Luan Baçi. 

This request comes after the chaos created in the Assembly in the last parliamentary session, where the 2024 budget was also approved. Opposition MPs overturned chairs, threw cigarette butts and clashed with guards. The opposition has expressed its determination to continue with the opposition action./CNA
