Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke this evening about the assassination attempt that occurred yesterday evening in the village of Rrilë, Lezha, where a 30-year-old man was injured.

On the show "Opinion", Lala said that the officer, now detained by the police, stated that he fired the gun in self-defense.

Among other things, she added that family members of former Socialist MP Arben Ndoka have been declared wanted in connection with the incident. She also said that the injured 30-year-old is in serious condition.

"It is a not very frequented area. Ardian Nikulaj's nephew was also in the barbershop. Why did the State Police think that there was an attempted assassination? About half an hour before the incident, the police officer and Merando Nikulaj came to the barbershop. In his testimony, Nikulaj said that he went to get a haircut. There were several people who got out of the vehicle, who had rubber batons and Kalashnikovs. At the moment the people approached, the police officer also fired a gun. The owner of the barbershop is in serious condition of Trauma. 16 shell casings were found inside the barbershop. The police officer said that I prevented a tragedy, I was there and I shot in self-defense. Family members of former socialist MP Arben Ndoka have been declared wanted ," said Lala.   /CNA
