Journalist Klodian Tomorri has stated that Raiffeisen Bank is rushing to clean up its image after the scandals and loan abuses as recently reported by the media.
According to the journalist, Raiffeisen Bank is publicly shouting that it is supporting young families with soft loans, but not only does it not support them with a single lek, but on the contrary, it also makes money from soft loans.
"Put at the center of scandals, such as the recent cases made public in the media, Raiffeisen has rushed to clean up its image by publicly shouting that it is supporting young families with soft loans.
How is Raiffeisen supporting young families with soft loans? Is it taking money out of its own fat profits? The answer is no.
Those who are supporting young families with soft loans are Albanian taxpayers, not Raiffeisen. The budget pays the money. While Raiffeisen not only does not support any lek, but on the contrary earns money from soft loans. But Raiffeisen makes fun of the problems of the millet.
To continue, they say we have many social responsibility programs! What social responsibility programs does Raiffeisen have?
Has it supported any children from the needy classes with a scholarship? Has it financed the construction of any schools or hospitals? No. Has it supported any elderly people without anyone? No. They simply planted some trees from the lake, and even there they were used politically. These are Raiffeisen's social responsibility programs. But what if.
The biggest problem with Raiffeisen and some foreign banks lies elsewhere. They are becoming a drag on economic growth in Albania.
The foreign managers they bring to Albania do not have the financing of the national economy as one of their management priorities. On the contrary. They play in their safe field and live the beautiful life that Albania offers them.
Sometimes with their girlfriends and sometimes with their boyfriends, as the case may be. These lavish holiday jobs are well done by Raiffeisen. As for social responsibility, these are the jokes with loans for the needy", writes Tomorri./ CNA
